ALL PROCEEDS from the sale of our puppies goes directly into continuing our mission of raising and training our puppies into working dogs that empower people with a disability to live a more fulfilling life with the love and assistance of a dog and a mentor.  Responsibly bred, our purebred puppies have predictable characteristics like activity level, temperament, and grooming needs. They are registered with AKC-ensuring their heritage is from healthy and sound ancestors.  Our dogs are from a long line of proven Service Dogs, Working Dogs, Show Dogs, and Therapy Dogs.  Click here to apply for one of our puppies

Furever homes

Although our dogs are purpose-bred to be working dogs, we can not keep them all.  Our puppies that do not go into work with our program are placed in qualified homes.  Click here to apply for one of these amazing puppies.

Health Clearances

Our dogs are tested by the appropriate agencies and board certified veterinarians to check hips, elbows, heart and eyes in addition to genetic testing.

Raised Right

Our puppies are raised under the constant care of our trainers and volunteers.  We have a full enrichment program and socialize them to all kinds of people.  This makes your puppy ready for your new family and off to a great start.

Golden Opportunities for Independence is one of the only service and therapy dog programs that breeds, raises and trains their dogs all on site.  Our puppies are surrounded by people that are looking to change the lives of others for the better.

We make the health of our dogs a top priority.  We test all our breeding dogs for hip, elbow, heart, eye conditions and genetic testing for PRA1 and 2, PRCD, and Ichthyosis.  

Numerous dogs that we breed have excellent hips.  Only a small fraction of Golden Retrievers test excellent.
